Train Depots

The golden age of railroading has sadly passed us by. Every building shown here was built to either be a passenger station or freight depot, but almost none of them are used for that purpose anymore. (Most of them haven't been used that way for decades!) Many of the better ones have turned into museums. Some have turned into businesses and are generally in good shape. A few of them are still owned by the railroads and are used for nothing more than storage. Sadly, some of them are in such disrepair that they can't be used at all. If you think about it, we should be thankful for each one that is still around.
