Railfest 2013

Railfest is the annual celebration at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga, TN. This year as part of the celebration, they offered Southern Railway 2-8-0 #630 as an excursion round trip to Cleveland, TN. This video was recorded while passengers were boarding, and then as the train departed the station. Then, later when the locomotive returned,.it was moved to the other end of the passenger cars along the TVRM wye. Also, visitors were able to ride the local excursion, the Missionary Ridge Local. This trip goes over old Southern tracks through the 1854 Missionary Ridge tunnel to their East Chattanooga station. There, we see the diesel locomotive on a vintage turntable and see the shops where more trains are being restored. Visitors were allowed to go inside the "Eden Isle" office car and a Pullman sleeper car. There are several other rolling stock cars on the museum's grounds.
