This is the Cool Springs that the mall and surrounding area is named after. The house was originally a two story log house built in the 1830s by James Carothers. It was expanded to with a frame addition in the 1870s by his son. This home was originally located on Mallory Road and ironically needed to be moved because the Cool Springs area has grown so much commercially that the house would have been removed with commercial development. In 1993, it was moved to Crockett Park in Brentwood
