In this picture are narrow strips of land. The railroad used to cross the Tennessee River to the left. With the creation of Kenutcky Lake, the rail line was relocated and the bridge removed. With the higher water level from the lake, all that is left was the built up narrow strips of land. this gap used to have a small bridge over a small stream. Johnsonville State Historic Area is part of the Tennessee State Parks system.
