It's tough to see, but this is an old advertisement for ESSO painted on the side of this metal barn. It would be even tougher to read after the trees bloom. Much of the pain has faded but I can make out a few of the words such as "The Great" and FUEL. It's seen along the New Middleton Highway (TN53/TN141) in Smith County a couple of miles west of Gordonsville.
