Modern Coca-Cola Mural - Layman Drug Store - Nashville, TN This 2016 Mural is painted on the side of a historic drug store in the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Nashville. The building was in disrepair for a while, until about 8 years ago it was refurbished into a recording studio. The mural above the Coke Mural is vintage and the older layer us estimated to be 130 years old. the white paint layer says: ANDREW MARTIN -- DRUGGIST -- PRESCRIPTIONS CALLED FOR AND DELIVERED -- CIGARS CANDY & FOOD. On top of that, in yellow letters says LAYMAN DRUG CO. -- PHONE 255-5127
Uncovered Coca-Cola Mural - Bon Aqua, TN The old abandoned General Store along old highway TN46 in Bon Aqua was falling into disrepair when, in the 1960s the building was converted into a recording studio, and briefly owned by Johnny Cash. The building was abandoned again and fell into disrepair again. Understanding the building's history and potential. The building was purchased again. Today, this old general store has become the Storytellers Museum in Bon Aqua, TN. The same owners have purchased Johnny Cash's Hideaway Farm which is about five miles away. Around 2020, they looked to see what was underneath the metal siding (which was not original to the store) when they found the old Coca-Cola mural painted on the wooden beams. The word Drink is on the top left corner. DRINK COCA-COLA IN BOTTLES - TAKE HOME A CASE. The bottom left features a case of bottles.
Coca-Cola Dreamworld This is the second Limited Edition offering from Coca-Cola Creations. The first one was Space Flavored but this one is Dream Flavored. Part of the appeal of this must be that the flavor is a surprise. If they had called this Mixed Berry Coke, perhaps they wouldn't sell as many. I'll make a wild guess the next flavors are Coca-Cola Ambiance, Hugs and Fluffy.
Faded Coca-Cola wall ad - Decatur, AL This wall has multiple ads, but the one for Coca-Cola is the easiest to see. Later, a tall window cut out the O in COLA. Above that is DRINK. To the left id Delicious & Refreshing. On the top left is yellow letters, but all I can read is SLOA. More is on the right of Coca-Cola and I might see the word RELIEVE.
Drink Coca-Cola mural - Stroud, OK The restored Drink Coca-Cola mural is located along Route 66 in downtown Stroud, OK. According to the white box on the left, this was restored by Palmer Ackerman in April 2020. In the box above it, it once was previously restored by the Stroud Library Society, but a while ago where the date isn't visible.

Modern Repainted Coca-Cola Mural - East Nashville Located at the corner of Shelby Ave and 17th St., this building was originally the home of S.W. Simpkins Grocery Store. About 15 years ago, the store was abandoned and falling into disrepair. Around 2010, the building underwent a refurbishment. The long-gone Coca Cola mural on the side of the building was also repainted about 2015 to look as it did in the past. As of 2018, the building is now home to Shelby Ave. Bicycle Co.

Welcome to Ellijay, GA - Drink Coca-Cola I stumbled into Ellijay and didn't realize it was a small tourist town. Every October, the town has the Georgia Apple Festival every October. This Coca-Cola mural is located just off the town square on the east side (GA52/Old GA 5).

Vintage Coca-Cola Mural - Lebanon, TN Drink Coca-Cola - Delicious and Refreshing. This faded Coca-Cola Mural one block south of the Lebanon, TN appears to have overcome many things:replaced bricks, partially painted over, a modern sign covering it up, plus windows and doors.
Faded Murals in Galveston, TX It looks like the Coca-Cola mural was repainted several years ago and is dated 1905. Other ads include: Uneeda Biscuit. (plus a couple of old Nabisco logos) Wrigley Spearmint Gum - The flavor lasts E. Dulitz Furniture, Machines & Stoves Yesterday, To-Day, To-Morrow, Forever
Restored Coca-Cola Mural - Galveston, TX I assume this is a restored Coca-Cola mural, although even the restoration has faded a bit. This is part of a larger wall with multiple advertisements, but this is the only one easy to read. This is also dated 1905
Coca-Cola Cincinnati Reds 2019 In 2019, the Cincinnati Reds celebrated their 150th season of baseball. To honor this, Coca-Cola released two special designs. First is a tall can with the Reds 150th logo. Next is a baseball-shaped bottle.
Faded Coca-Cola (and Ford) wall ad - Fayetteville, TN These faded wall ads are a block south of the Fayetteville town square. The easiest to read wall ad says "Drink Coca-Cola - Every Bottle Sterilized" but the words Refreshing & Livelier also show through, as well as a Ford logo.
Georgia Peach Coca-Cola In the summer of 2018, Coca-cola introduced two new fruit flavor variants to their product lineup, Georgia Peach and California Raspberry.
Drink Coca-Cola - Go refreshed. This Coca-Cola mural is located on the town square in Moulton, AL. The mural is signed by Mellissa Meeks in 2015. I'm guessing it is a remake of an older sign as it includes a line at the top for Sparks Grocery.
Restored Coca-Cola Mural - Selma, AL This vintage Coca-Cola advertisement was restored at some point, however the restored paint and sign explaining it are also starting to fade. The sign says: This painted wall advertising has been restored in the original colors for historical reasons using slogans and pricing of the early 1900's when it was first painted. The location of Selma Coca-Cola Bottling Co from 1903-1910, was near the corner of Water Ave. & Lauderdale St. The sign is on the side of Day Motor Supply, Inc on Lauderdale St. and faces the old federal courthouse. Update! This mural was restored again in 2018. See here: cocacolaunited.com/blog/2018/04/01/artsrevive-selma-celeb...
Former Coca-Cola bottler - Tullahoma This former Coca-Cola bottler was a state-of-the-art facility in 1941. They could produce 120 bottles of Coke per minute until 1973 when a new facility was built down the road. Today, the building has been preserved as retail space as the Historic Shoppes at Cokers. Tenants include a restaurant, clothing boutique and WDUC radio.
Restored Coca-Cola Mural - Cookeville, TN In 2015, a store owner in the Cream City Depot District in Cookeville was renovating the exterior of his building. When removing the stucco, they found a forgotten Coca-Cola mural. From there, they contacted Coca-Cola who has been restoring vintage ads throughout the region. On Sept. 4, 2015, the city unveiled the restored mural with the 'Silhouette girl.' Full story: herald-citizen.com/stories/historic-coke-sign-unveiling-i...?

Restored Coca-Cola mural - Old City Knoxville In the earliest days of Coca-Cola, they went around the south painting lots of advertising murals. Recently, Coca-Cola has undergone a restoration project for many of their old murals. In October 2015, they unveiled this restored mural on the side of Patrick Sullivan's Saloon in Knoxville's Old City. See a local newscast about it here: wate.com/2015/10/22/renovated-historic-coca-cola-sign-unv... See my photo of the way it looked before restoration here: flic.kr/p/8Ac9KK
Coca-Cola Ice Cube cans These specialty cans of Coca-cola are available during the winter. When the can is cold (such as placing them in the snow) blue ice cubes magically appear.
Mello Yello and Cherry Coke in irregular sizes Sometimes I feel that the Coca-Cola company likes to see how many different sizes of soda offerings they can make. I guess the 8 oz, 12 oz, 16.9 oz, 20 oz, and 1 liter weren't getting the job done. The NHRA branded Mello Yello is 19.2 ounces, 1.2 Pint or 588 ml.. The Cherry Coke is 8.55 ounces or 253 ml, which is essentially a 1/4 liter. Also, do they now call it Coca-Cola Cherry instead of Cherry Coke?
Coca-Cola Mural - Moscow, TN This wall mural for Coca-Cola and B&G Taxidermy is located along Charleston St. in the center of town.
Drink Coca-Cola in Bottles - Engel Stadium Dating back to the early 1930s, Engel Stadium is the historic stadium and longtime home of the Chattanooga Lookouts. (Today, it is the home stadium of UT-Chattanooga. At one time, it was the home of the state TSSAA baseball playoffs.) You can tell it is an old-timey stadium with the way the outfield slopes and the flagpole is in play I love the hand-painted Coca-Cola mural on the outfield wall. The mural is larger than it looks - check out the ladder in the bottom left corner of the image. The actual center field wall is the dark green wall on the right, but the coke mural is further from home plate and tougher to hit a home run over. Somewhere, I once heard it is 490 feet over the "In Bottles" and it looks like it's 20 feet tall. I can't find my source for this, but somewhere I read the only person to ever hit a home run over the sign was all-time great Harmon Killibrew
Drink Coca-Cola - Made in Knoxville 5¢ Along with a mural for Carpet Headquarters, this Mural is located along N. Broadway (US441) in Knowville
Faded Sign - Drug store / Sealtest / Coca-Cola This is located in Chattanooga along Central Ave at 8th Ave on a boarded up old business. In small letters, DRINK is above COCA-COLA but is mostly covered by the Sealtest part. Who knows which one is older.
faded Coca-Cola Mural / Pickett's Grocery - Whitwell, TN
Mexican Coke Bottle Medio Litro (Half Liter) Around here, Pepsi started doing this recently but Coke has been doing this for a couple of years: Selling the Mexican version of the drink in local grocery stores. In Mexico, they still use Cane Sugar instead of HFCS. (Does anyone know why? Cheaper there than here? legal reasons?) Coke never offered a "throwback" series like Pepsi has so this is your chance to see what the classic Coke of the 1970s and earlier was like. (I couldn't taste a difference)

World of Coca-Cola bottle Of course, it's the same Coke you can get anywhere but it has a special label that you can only get if you go to the World of Coca-Cola museum in Atlanta
See Incline Here / Coca-Cola sign Along the Lookout Mountain Scenic Highway (TN148) is a spot where the street crosses over Chattanooga's historic Incline Railroad. Along that bridge is a pedestrian scenic overlook. The parking spaces for this overlook are provided by Mountain Memories, a gift shop.
Coke & Storkland Baby Furniture murals Seen when driving around downtown Birmingham... I'm someone who likes to take lots of pictures of Coca-Cola murals, but what sets this one apart is the inclusion of Storkland Baby Furniture. I like that name. They, along with Coke, appear to still be in business. Layettes, Linen(?) Baby Gifts & Toys. (I just learned that "Layettes" is a word.)
Downtown Roanoke / Coca-Cola Mural The long mural with multiple advertisements also features Mutual of New York and Caveness & Conner Insurance. The painter of the mural signed it in the bottom corner, but I didn't get a better picture of it. Originally, I assumed this was a vintage restored mural, but now I'm guessing it's probably from the 80's but with a vintage look.
Abandoned Coca-Cola Bottling Plant - Pensacola, FL As of today, the building is up for sale and can be yours for $698,000! Seen along US29 north of downtown.
World's First Coca-Cola Bottler Now, there's a neon sign that I bet has quite a history. I just don't know what that history is because I can't find anything about this particular sign online. There does appear to be several Coca-Cola bottlers with a similar styled sign, but only one is the World's First. The first Coke bottler did go by the name of "World's First Coca-Cola Bottler" and they were located in Market Street in downtown Chattanooga. They later expanded to a larger facility on Broad St. Then, in 1970, they moved to their current location, with their vintage neon sign out front, at 4000 Amnicola Highway.

Faded Coca-Cola Mural - Downtown Roanoke, VA Roanoke has it's share of well maintained or refurbished wall ads and murals. This is not one of them. This Coca-Mural is seen on Market Square along Salem Ave and windows have been added where the mural had been
Aluminum Coca-Cola Bottle This bottle is going for a minimalist design, being all red except for the white Coca-Cola which wraps all the way around the bottle. It's the classic Coke bottle shape, but made of aluminum to keep the drink nice and cold.

Hillsville Diner Seen along Main St. (US52) in Hillsville, VA.. It is the oldest continually operating streetcar diner in the state and is included on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Hillsville Historic District.
Faded Coca-Cola Mural - Dayton, TN This mural faces a general store along a corner of the Dayton Town Square. In the top corner of the ad is the word DRINK and in the bottom right corner is a coke bottle on a yellow circle. Above the Coke Mural is an ad for Mansfields Coffee Shoppe. A block away is a place called Mansfield's Diner, which I will assume is the same place.
Faded Coca-Cola Wall Ad - Glasgow, KY This as has quite faded lettering, but it looks like the letters on the bottle say Coca-Cola, although the letters for "Trademark" on the bottle are a lot easier to read. If you can't make this out at all, the main part of the mural is a giant hand holding a giant soda bottle. I will assume at one time there was a giant face drinking the giant bottle but the renovating of the building caused many of the bricks near the side to be replaced. The only other words I can make out are in the green circle, where I see Delicious and Refreshing, something else common on come murals. Next to this on the right is also a mural for Lou Ellis' Color Corner Studio. The front of the building faces to Glasgow's town square and the street here leading from the square is US31E.
Faded Coca-Cola roof ad - Frankewing, TN Here's something very easy to miss! As I travel the back roads and keep my eyes peeled for faded advertising barns, more often than not when I see patterns of rust on a metal roof, my brain plays a trick on me and tells me there were some letters there. On this occasion, my circling back around was worthwhile as there really was something there in the rust. At some point, this must have been a gas station or market. along the top of the roof, barely visible is "G.H. STEVENSON" so it must have been his store. Then, the Large Coca-Cola logo appears below that. This is along the old Highway. US 64 runs from Memphis to Chattanooga going through many of the main cities along the bottom of the state. Many stretches of US64, including through this area have a newer two lane divided highway bypass the older stretch. This is along an unsigned old stetch of US 64 (or TN 15) approaching Frankewing, TN from the west. This tiny town is about halfway between Pulaski and Fayetteville.

Several faded wall ads - Roanoke, VA This is in Downtown Roanoke. The building is along Salem Ave, and the view is seen along Norfolk Ave. from the base of the bridge before it crosses the tracks. Along the horizontal portion to the left, it has this: On the left it says: Delicious Refreshing Sold Everywhere On the right, it says ENJOY COCA-COLA. Below that is an art mural, that I'll make a wild guess and say is 10 years old. For the vertical section, the right edge of the ads have been truncated, perhaps because the street had to be widened at some point. Up top is an ad for a furniture store. The first four letters look like HART. Below that it a DRINK COCA-COLA with the OLA missing. Below that is 2 or 3 ads all faded together with nothing legible. I have a couple of closer up views - see the notes on the picture.

Coca-Cola Mural - Pulaski, VA 5 cents - Delicious and Refreshing - 5 cents Drink Coca-Cola - Sold Everywhere Located in the small downtown area of Pulaski, VA along a wide building and facing Peak Creek. At some point over the last few decades it has been repainted, and even that has a slight fade to it. One of the things I like about this creek as it runs through town is the old built up rock wall, and at this spot, it's practically an extension of the side of the building.

Faded Cocal-Cola mural - Athens, TN Seen near the town square. Above the Coke ad is also an ad for Jas. L Crow Jr. Poultry & Eggs
Johnson City, TN Coke Mural For an old unrestored Coke Mural, this one is rather well preserved. It looks like there was another building that used to be next to this one. It would have been built after the mural was painted and then torn down more recently. Thus, the bottom half of the fading ad (below the seam) was less exposed to the elements and retains more of the paint. Delicious and refreshing DRINK Coca-Cola 5¢ Relieves Fatigue Sold Everywhere

Drink Coca-Cola in Bottles Along the main road through South Pittsburgh. It also has a huge tree/bush in front of it making it tough to see. The top ad is very faded, but I see the word coffee.
Restored Acworth, GA Coke Mural The areas aroung atlanta are of course Coke country. I'm sure there used to be hundreds of Coca-Cola wall ads all around, and some of them have been preserved by being restores, such as this one in Acworth, GA. There are two restored Coke murals in Acworth and this one is on the side of the tracks with fewer businesses. At one time at this spot was another mural for Mother's Self-Rising Flour occupying the entire side of the building, so now the restored coke mural appears to take up a corner of that other ad.

World's Oldest Coca-Cola Mural You see the old Coke murals all over the place, and it had to start somewhere. Not surprisingly, it wasn't far from Atlanta. This mural was painted on the side of Young Brother's Pharmacy in Cartersville, GA. In 1894, James Couden, a Coca-Cola syrup salesman, felt the vast exterior of the building would make a great location to advertise his product. 100 years later, preservationists wanted to see what this sign originally looked like and 25 layers of paint were carefully removed. Thus, in 1994 the sign was repainted and preserved to look like it did a century earlier. This sign is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. When it was painted, the target audience would likely be train passengers (railroad tracks are right behind me.) but a few decades later, the Dixie Highway passed by also.

Bull Durham and Coca-Cola This is a busy painted wall. There now a building on the right that obstructs the view while driving unless you get to about this angle. At one time it was a painted ad for Bull Durham, a product by the Bloch Brothers Mail Pouch Tobacco. At another time, it was a Coca-Cola ad. The white Coca-Cola script has faded, but you can still see the word Drink and the the yellow circle which is someone drinking a coke. I guess the word Genuine goes with Bull Durham. This is along Highway U.S. 31W (which used to be the Dixie Highway) In Horse Cave, KY in Hart County.
