This is a Bill Clinton joke. So, if you like President Clinton, you might as
well skip over this one.
Bill Clinton went jogging one morning and came upon the Washington monument
He said "George, what should I do?"
After a few seconds George replied "Abolish the IRS and start over."
Bill thought about this for a few seconds and continued jogging.
Shortly he came upon the Jefferson Memorial and stopped. He said "Tom,
what should I do?"
After a few seconds Tom replied "Abolish welfare and start over."
Bill continued jogging after thinking about this and came upon the
Lincoln Memorial. He said "Abe, what should I do?"
After a few seconds Abe replied "Why don't you take the night off
and go to the theater?"

On February 18, 1986, U.S. district court judge Samuel King, unhappy at the
absence of some jurors due to heavy rains, decreed, "I hereby order that it
cease raining by Tuesday." California then suffered five years of drought. In
February 1991 King rescinded his order and ordered instead that "rain shall
fall in California beginning February 27, 1991." Later that day, California
was deluged with four inches of rain, the heaviest in a decade. Judge King
proclaimed that the events of the day constituted "proof positive" that the
U.S. is a nation governed by laws."

In order for a pickle to be officially be considered a pickle in Connecticut,
it must bounce.
A woman robbing a suburban doughnut shop pretended to be a waitress when a
customer came to the drive-up window. Trouble was, she bungled the order - and
the customer was a cop. Cheltenham Township Police Sgt. Michael Regan wanted a
large coffee with cream and sugar. The woman at the suburban Dunkin' Donuts
had an unfamiliar face, and she delivered a medium black with the cup only
half full. "I figured this person doesn't work there," Regan said. He parked
in a remote corner of the parking lot, watched, and waited. Regan could see
the woman through the store windows as she pounded on the cash register
keyboard. She walked into a back room and returned with two employees. "Then I
saw her make one of them open the register, and when he did that she scooped
up the money," he said. That's when Regan called for backup and drove toward
the store. When the woman spotted his cruiser, she climbed through the takeout
window and fled. The suspect was arrested a short time later. She had taken
about $100 from the shop, police said. "If she had given him the right order,"
said Cheltenham Lt. John Scholly, "maybe she would have gotten away."

Police raided the house of John Roelveld, seventy-two, in Eerbeeck Holland, in
April 1982 and discovered a concrete bomb shelter containing an estimated
250,000 preserved and stuffed animals and birds, many of them protected
species. Most had been stuffed by Roelveld himself. He later reported to
authorities that forty years earlier God had instructed him to collect and
mount two of every species in preparation for the end of the world, which was
imminent.
