Commonly seen around Oak Hill streets such as Granny White Pk and Battery Ln, many of these walls pre-date the Civil War and were used for marking property boundaries. Some in this area were used to mark the old boundary to Lealand Plantation, which was a gift from John Overton to his daughter.
